Adult Hebrew
Adult Hebrew occurs every other year from the fall to the spring, generally following the standard school semesters. It is held at 6 p.m. on Wednesdays.
2011 - 2012 Schedule
Hebrew 101:
October - January
Learn the aleph-bet, how to read Hebrew aloud, and how Hebrew opens the gates of Jewish learning.
Hebrew 102:
February - May
Hebrew grammar and beginning translation.
Fees: $50 members, $75 non-members (per semester, includes materials).
Registration is closed for the 2012 sessions.
(A self-selecting group of
students embark on a year-long introduction to the Hebrew language.
Studying once a week with a qualified instructor, students learn the necessary
skills of decoding the Hebrew alphabet, comprehension of basic vocabulary, verb
conjugation and usages, as well as writing.)
