Our Program

At the Micah Children's Academy, we believe a program should embody the following characteristics:

• Learning should be connected to everything that happens during the day
• Infant and preschool children learn best through playing and learning that is fun builds a love for wanting to learn more
• Every experience should be matched to the development level of the child with recognition that EVERY age child has much to learn
• At this stage of development, learning happens best through social interactions: parent to child; teacher to child; and child to child
• In preschool, the important learning is building the blocks for later learning. Building ideas and concepts will enable them to succeed in reading and math, in getting along with others, learning from others, and in building character
• Learning happens everywhere: at home and in school.  As such, our job is to build partnerships with our families so that the important learning is sustained after their school-based experience
