Adult B'nai Mitzvah
Every other
year, a self-selecting group of adults commit to a journey of study with the
Rabbi towards a ceremony of adult B’nai Mitzvah. The year is spent
mastering the Shabbat morning prayers and service, learning Torah, and studying
a subject of choice in depth. Together, the students lead a Shabbat
morning service, complete with Torah and haftarah readings, during the holy day
of Shavuot in the spring to celebrate the culmination of their journey towards B’nai Mitzvah together.
